Storm Before the Calm

One of the greatest and most challenging aspects of the endeavor is respecting the fate that controls the journey. Planning is one thing, and mother nature is another. The crew was set to leave on the van-tastic expedition to the Florida Keys, when a winter storm enclosed ND as an ice storm covered the route to the South. Here, the crew gathers for breakfast on the day before designated departure to discuss alternate routes and gather a game plan. After deliberation, safety prevailed and waiting out the weather became the conclusion. Life is funny that way. As we like to say, "Plans are only as good as your ability to adapt to them."
